A few weeks ago, I shared with you that I had decided to apply for a Fulbright scholarship. I have always loved travel and been fascinated by foreign countries and cultures. Lately, I’ve felt a strong urge to get out of the US and explore more of the world. I started talking to colleagues about opportunities to teach over the summer at colleges around the world and decided it was something I wanted to try to do next summer. As… Read more »

Niki and Sammy

Last year, my kids and I decided that we wanted to attend a Youtube convention in 2017. The dates and distance to travel for Vidcon didn’t work for us this year, so we decided that we would go to Playlist Live. Orlando is within driving distance, and the dates fit into our schedule. I bought tickets as soon as they were available in October 2016 to take advantage of the cheaper pricing. Standard tickets were $125 covering events… Read more »

My mom and I had actually been there with my daughter a few years ago, but it was my son’s first trip.   On our first day in the city, we wanted to take my son to the California… Read more »

My ballerina has been waiting for almost two years to be old enough to attend the Joffrey Ballet School San Francisco summer intensive. We’ve had a long couple of days getting here and moving her into the dorm. Four airports, three flights, miles walked, and one night sick with food poisoning. Here’s our weekend in pictures (the good parts)!   Heading out to explore San Francisco. #twinning   We loved the San Francisco Botanical Garden and had a great time… Read more »
