summer reading list
One of my favorite parts of summer is having extra time to read. I have a hard time getting long periods of downtime to read during the fall and spring semesters, so I tend to devour books during my winter and summer breaks. This weekend I made my summer reading list and thought I would share it with you in case you are looking for some summer reading suggestions. (Amazon affiliate links are included in this post.)

Cut in Darkness by Heather Sunseri – Heather is a friend and also one of my favorite authors, and I am slightly embarrassed that I have not had time to read her latest book yet.

How to Be a Bawse by Lilly Singh – You may know Lilly by the name Superwoman from her fantastically successful Youtube channel. I bought her book for my daughter, but I can’t wait to read how she shares her wisdom and wit in this book.

Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland – Louise is another one of my favorite Youtube content creators, and she also happens to be a great writer. She writes weekly blog posts in addition to her Youtube vlogs, but this will be Louise’s first fiction book.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han – It’s no secret that I am a fan of YA fiction, and this is a series that my teenage daughter recommended to me. I’m definitely looking forward to finding out what happens next in the life of Lara Jean.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell – As a fangirl who enjoys some Kanye and knows enough to stay out of the world of fan fiction because I may not make it out of that hole alive, I know this is going to be a hilarious and relatable read.

Educating Alice by Alice Steinbach – I’m really anxious to read Alice Steinbach’s writing because she sounds a lot like me. She loves travel, writing, and learning. In this book, she tells some of the stories about her travels around the world learning new skills and experiencing life. I may decide to pick up and follow in her footsteps after reading this book.

Have you read any of these books? Which sounds most interesting to you? What is on your summer reading list?
