creating a vision board

Vision boards have become increasingly popular over the last few years thanks to Pinterest. I’ve read a lot of articles about why you should have a vision board and what you should do with it, and this year I decided to finally make one. The one problem I had when creating my vision board was the fact that I don’t have a clear and definite focal point for the future, which is one of the main points of a vision… Read more »

This weekend I was lucky enough to be surrounded by nearly 6,000 young performing artists at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta. My sons participated in the festival for the third year. The purpose of the event is not necessarily to create 6,000 new Broadway actors and actresses but to use the power of musical theater to teach kids important lessons about creativity, self-confidence, and hard work. Unfortunately, I am a total loser and procrastinator when it comes to living out that Christmas spirit. In my defense, the 2-3 weeks after Thanksgiving are probably… Read more »

gilmore girls

No spoilers about the new season of Gilmore Girls on Netflix other than this – it is outstanding. I was such a big fan of the original show that I considered naming my daughter Lorelei. My son is named Luke, and I the show did have some role in that choice of name (although was just part of the naming consideration). It’s probably a good thing that they are not Luke and Lorelei though because that would be pretty… Read more »
